Homemade Quiche

Homemade Quiche


Ingredients:

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish and trim the edges.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stir in the grated Gruyere cheese, chopped cooked bacon, and chopped scallions.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
