Homemade Quiche
Ingredients:
- 1 pie crust
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped scallions
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish and trim the edges.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir in the grated Gruyere cheese, chopped cooked bacon, and chopped scallions.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
